Location of editorial

The location of our shoot we are deciding between a more modern place or a traditional english sort of place.
The first location is Chantel's house and has all white interiors. We think this will be interesting because we are making a modern suggestion of the story of narnia. If we place the members in this big white mansion it is like the kids in the movie being placed in the big foreign mansion. This makes it more contemporary and I think it will also suit the aesthetic of Yen magazine. We will have to work hard to communicate the links to the movie but I think it will work. With the use of props such as the suitcases and dressing up in all the furs I think it can pull it all together. It also has lots of great natural light which will be useful for us as we don't want to have to use artificial light and theres lots of space with the ability to move around the furniture.

The second location is Como House in South Yarra. It is an old house that has interiors that look like the mansion in the movie. This will make a great link to the movie because it will have the same aesthetic and really pull out the origin of the english style outfits the band members will have. We will have to enquire about hiring out a room to shoot but there is also the problem of light and we may have to borrow lighting equipment to help us out. There is also the constraint that we wont be able to move anything around and explore as much as we want to.
