Sourcing

Me and Chantel went sourcing for clothing for the editorial and found some good things to use. We found many options but due to budgeting were limited to few pieces. Alot of the pieces we found were at Zara and there seemed to be alot of the english aesthetic running through their current collections which was perfect for us.


We found this coat that looks like the 'coatigan' picture we had. When we first saw it we got so excited but once I tried it on and we looked at it longer the more it looked like a dressing gown so we decided to not go with it.

This trench coat is a perfect item to go with our look - however Chantel's sister owns something very similar to this so we will be able to use that instead of this one. We haven't exactly put together exact looks that we want, we more so are just finding things and then at the end putting it into looks and this way we have more options.

Definitely got this scarf as soon as we saw it. Its the perfect touch of tarten and the scarf is perfect for the autumn winter brief. We can add this to almost any look and its a definite focal point for an outfit so we can dress Sophie in something like a basic dress and tights with some boots, this scarf and perhaps a coat.

When looking at this mannequin we got inspired. Not so much by the jacket but more the top thats underneath. I love high neck things and this knit would be so amazing on a close up. The texture of the wool would hopefully show up in a photo and in my head i just see it would work, especially with a statement necklace to go with it.

This mens cardigan is perfect. Colours are amazing and the tarten isnt overpowering because it doesnt go all the way down the sleeves. We got this for one of the boys to wear and it will be good with just some skinny jeans and a plain shirt underneath.

This red jumper has amazing texture and will go really well on the other guy thats wearing the above cardigan. The red is striking and is a classic colour that ties in with the tarten and will be a feature piece.

We loved this jacket and wanted to get it but one of the jackets that James is lending us is pretty much exactly like this so we were happy that we have something like it. The layered up look with the coats and scarfs are what we want to use.

This scarf is right on trend with the embellished jewels on the end so we decided to grab it as well to go on Sophie.

These two necklaces are high on the neck and would stand out on an outfit, especially the white high neck knit. we got both just in case so then we have the options.

We really wanted to focus on beanies for this shoot so we got a maroon one and a black one in this shape that I have on. It will work for Sophie and/or the boys.
